ICAR–NIVEDI Welcomes 2026 with Celebration and Commitment

Director highlights Institute's achievements and calls for renewed dedication to science-led surveillance and innovation

ICAR–NIVEDI, Bengaluru, celebrated New Year 2026 in a warm and cheerful gathering organised by the Institute Staff Welfare Club (SWC). Dr. S. S. Patil, Principal Scientist and Chairman, SWC, welcomed the participants. Dr. P. P. Sengupta and Dr. Rajeswari Shome, Principal Scientists, conveyed their best wishes and encouraged the NIVEDI family to continue striving for excellence.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Baldev R. Gulati, Director, ICAR–NIVEDI, highlighted the Institute's major achievements during 2025, including national recognition of NADRES V2.0 with the National e-Governance Award, expansion of externally funded projects, and significant progress in disease intelligence, diagnostics, and One Health initiatives, leading to enhanced national and international visibility of the Institute. He appreciated the collective efforts of scientists, officers, project staff, and students in bringing recognition to ICAR–NIVEDI and called upon the NIVEDI family to step into the New Year with renewed commitment to science-led surveillance, innovation, and service to the livestock sector.
